Hello. Well, the day has finally arrived and I am very pleased to announce that today sees the release of the audiobook version of my book Naked Liberty.
This has been a long time in coming but I hope you’ll agree it’s been worth the wait. It is available for instant download and I’m told all the instructions on how to load it onto your iPod will be in an accompanying email.

Hi. Well I hope you liked the audio on Monday, I can’t tell you how exciting it is for me to hear my book come to life through Liz’s voice.
We’ve also put together some more video of Panadero so you can see his progress. It’s interesting to see how far he has come in such a short time. He stops so nicely, both at liberty and under saddle. He’s such a wonderful horse too, so full of spirit, so full of youth and still full of stallion energy.

Welcome back. I am very excited because this week sees the launch of the audio recording of my book Naked Liberty. I am honoured too that my dear friend Liz Mitten Ryan, author of One With The Herd, agreed to read it.
The way I met Liz is a most amazing story. Computer life is pretty interesting and full of adventure. One night I decided to look for a horse painting, with the idea that my search might lead me to something I would like to own. I really enjoy art, so as I was shopping the Internet, I found an artist I really liked. I went through all her paintings and found the one that I would like to purchase and so decided to get in touch with the artist.

Hello again. I try to reply to comments people make on my blog whenever I can but I thought I should reply to one I received this week in an actual post.
It was a lovely letter from a lady called Ellen and it brightened my day to hear how my work has such a strong and positive impact on people. I also hope that it will bring a sense of hope and direction to those out there who feel in their heart that there is a gentler and more natural way to be with horses but are struggling to find it. If you persevere and follow your heart and instincts, as Ellen did, then you will find the path that is right for you.

Hello. Today’s lesson follows nicely on from Victoria’s question on Monday as I like to tie my horses to a post because I think it is a fabulous way to develop a more dependable horse. Before I tie a horse, I prepare the horse how to stand still at liberty on command using the Waterhole Rituals. If it is a foal, I make certain that foal would be happy being separated from its mother and vice versa. From being tied, a horse learns that when I leave him he is responsible for standing still and not fussing.
At the beginning of the training, I tie him with a knot that I can pull loose immediately he might suggest he would try to pull back. The theory is that in early training if a horse never experiences pulling back, he will not choose it as an option later on when he is fully trained.

Hi. Today I have a very special video for you that was made by my friend, Stormy May. Stormy is (of course) a horse lover and has been making DVDs on horses for a number of years and has in fact made my last 2 DVDs, Panadero’s Journey and Introduction to the Waterhole Rituals.
The video you will see is a trailer for a documentary she is making called The Path of the Horse, which is about the future of horse-human relationships. The film focuses on 5 people Stormy has interviewed who she believes have a very special and natural relationship with their horses: Alexander Nevzorov, Klaus Hempfling, Linda Kohanov, Mark Rashid and, I’m proud to say, me.
