Hello. Hope you had a nice weekend. Today we have a question from Michelle from Canada who is already using the Waterhole Rituals to good effect by the sound of it but was seeking a little more clarification. Michelle wrote:
When I go to “say hello”, Amber(my mare) will sometimes walk towards me, so do I retreat, continue and still walk off or what?? She also did this to me later on during the eye contact ritual, so I did some “companion walking” to compensate for her decision.

Welcome! I hoped you liked the photo’s on Wednesday, weren’t they cute? Today I have another surprise for you and for me too actually. The video below is from a new DVD of mine called “Liberty Training”. Well, I say new but in reality it was shot about 20 years ago on the ranch I had in Sonoma.
It’s really quite amazing to look at it now and see how much my Method has developed over the years but at the same time how the fundamentals have not.

Hi again. I asked a week or so ago whether anyone would like to send me pictures of their horses and I received an old-fashioned sackful of them! Unfortunately, I can’t show them all, so here is just a selection. I’ll speak with my tech guy to see if he can figure out how you guys can post your own pictures to the blog in the future. Till then, enjoy!

My first lesson on leadership was when I was a little girl and was taught to me by a lizard.
In the olden days, the milk cartons had little tabs that you pulled up and made a little tiny hole in the corner of, so that when you turned it over, it would pour. It kind of made a natural spout and then you stuck the cork back into that little hole. They were little cute. I liked them. I don’t know why we’ve ended up with what we have today because I can never get them to open up but anyway back to my story.

Hi. Today’s question comes from Danny in Alabama, who is faced with a challenge perhaps many of you experience with new horses. The way to deal with it is similar to the way you might deal with a child that is upset, you change their focus. Read on to see what Danny is asks and what I recommend. Hope it helps!
I have acquired a couple of horses because their owner could not feed them. I have ridden all my life and never had this problem. You have to fight these horses away from the barn, I mean it is a rodeo every time. What can be done? Thanks.
Danny

Hi. The story that I am going to share with you today is about a horse that you may have seen on some of my videos by the name of Panadero. He is an Andalusian Stallion and he is absolutely just the most expressive horse you could ever wish to meet.
Everyday that I went out to see him he would run up to me and we would play this game where we used to run along the fence of his paddock.

Hello, hope you all had a lovely weekend.
The story that I would like to share with you today is something that happened to me a couple of weeks ago when we were doing some filming. We were working on my new DVD that we are going to be bringing out showing the different personalities of horses and how each personality responds to the Waterhole Rituals.
We had a horse here that is known as a fearful shy horse and we needed to have one like that to not only show his experience with the Rituals but to show people what a fearful horse looks like.
