Hi. Thank you so much for all your comments to my post on Tuesday. There is always a danger when you are in the public eye and you say something, so your support is very much appreciated. I hear from Mark that the campaign is really starting to get some momentum and if you go back to www.DressageDisgrace.com, there is lots more information there and ways you can help.
Thank you too for the stories you have been sending and I’d like to share with you the following one, which came from Jeff. It’s the kind of story you need when it seems like the world is spiralling out of control.
Enjoy your weekend
Carolyn
Freedom and I have been together 10 years this summer. She came in as a baby in 1998 with two broken wings. Her left wing doesn’t open all the way even after surgery, it was broken in 4 places. She’s my baby.
When Freedom came in she could not stand and both wings were broken. She was emaciated and covered in lice. We made the decision to give her a chance at life, so I took her to the vets office. From then on,

It looks like we might not be running the ‘In a Box’ Program this winter after all as the weather looks like it will be too cold for most people, so I may end up postponing the course till sometime late spring. If this happens, those who have prepaid will have their tuition fees returned.
This is Julia Felton’s last week with me as a working student. For people who live in the UK and would like to learn my Method from her, you can contact her at Julia@connect-thru-horses.com. So now I am looking for another person that would like the opportunity to be a working student with me. I have a great horse for you to learn how to train bridleless and to develop your dressage skills under saddle with my Method plus all my ground training at liberty. You should be aware though that there is no salary attached to this position and you will have to take care of your own living expenses but of course all the tuition is free! If you are interested in this position or for more information, please contact me at info@carolynresnick.com.
Recently Mark sent me a video of a … Read more

Hi. Hopefully another ‘In the Box’ Program is about to start and if it does, I want to provide support on the blog for the students and for everyone else who reads my blog. This way we can all start the Waterhole Rituals™ at the same time. Every time I start at the beginning, I find magic and personal power from being able to return to the beginners mind. “Beginners mind” is a phrase used by many cultures and Buddhist teachers to bring the student back to a place of personal power and learning.
What I want people to understand about the Waterhole Rituals™ is that the ongoing practice of them will continue to deepen the bond and training of both you and your horse. However, you need to approach the Rituals with the mindset that you are discovering a deeper connection and evolution in the skills of leadership and a closer connection to all things in your life. You will begin to achieve wonderful results through your abilities of observation and performance. Through practice you will continue to acquire more amazing skills.
One example of this came yesterday when Julia and I were working with her school horse, Sonãdor. … Read more

Here is another story about how learning the Waterhole Rituals™ helped Lynn with her wild brumby when he escaped. It brought tears to my eyes and showed me just how much can be learnt in the virtual classroom….

What do you do when you lose a part of your family? You grieve, you don’t believe it and all those assorted feelings. This is exactly what happened last Sunday, when Sakima, my wild brumby, exited my life in dramatic circumstances.
My manager had become over-confident with him and assumed that he was so adjusted to life on our farm that he would not leave through our rainforest that leads to a National Park. With an open gate an invitation too inviting to ignore, Sakima was on his way to freedom last Sunday.
I went up in the afternoon, only to find no horse and an open gate that led to thousands of hectares of wild bush and rugged mountain ridges. I knew immediately he had gone.
Calmness in a crisis is important and business had well equipped me to contain my emotions and the feeling of dread that enveloped my body. This is a wild horse that won’t allow anyone to

Today we have a story from one of my Inner Circle students, Lynn Scott, about how her relationship is progressing with her wild brumby, Sakima. Lynn learned my Method through the Inner Circle Program and private telephone coaching. I have never met Lynn as she lives in Australia but she is testament to how effective virtual coaching can be when learning my Method. I do hope you enjoy her story as much as I did…
“When I go to my horses, all four of them, it never ceases to amaze me as to what they will bring that day. Thanks to Carolyn, it is a fascinating journey that I am on with my brumby. My truly wild boy is becoming more confident with people. Last night he was in the back paddock when I went to feed, so off I went down the hill calling and he hears me and comes cantering up, scattering the cows as he comes. Not at any time have I feared for my safety even when he comes at a canter. When I ask him to whoa he stops in front of me waiting for his reward. We then walk together to the feeding area.

Hello. Well today at last I am delighted to be able to tell you about the brand new Waterhole Rituals ‘In a Box’ Program for Winter 2009/10.
Now, I know some of you have been waiting for the full Insider Circle Program to start up again and therefore may be disappointed to hear that I won’t be running it again this year. The reason for this is that with the full Insider Circle Program, you get a huge volume of input from me and with my vacation coming up in November and also because I want to finish my new book, I wouldn’t be able to devote the time to the Program that you deserve. So for that reason and because I want to make a few changes based on the feedback from the last class, I thought it better to run just the ‘In a Box’ Program this time round so that people don’t miss out.
Having said that, this is a significantly enhanced ‘In a Box’ Program, as we have made some pretty serious additions to what was already a great package. Don’t take my word for it though, this is what a few of the last class … Read more

I am back from my presentation to a group of equestrian women that gather each year with their horses to celebrate and promote community activities on horseback. Julia Felton from the UK, a working student for the past four months, went with me as my coordinator and personal assistant. This year the group had 51 riders. It was their 15th Annual Ride on Catalina Island. They call their organization the Las Caballeras ride.
I gave one of my presentations at the Escondido Ranch, which is the original Wrigley Ranch, and I got to meet Alison Wrigley-Rusack. Not only did I have the opportunity to meet Alison but I got to use her prize black Arabian Gelding, Zanadu, for my presentation of the Waterhole Rituals™. Alison had purchased Zanadu to be her special horse after falling in love with the stallion in the movie the Black Stallion. Zanadu had led most of his life as a stallion and was recently gelded. Even gelded Zanadu was every bit as animated and beautiful as the stallion in the movie.
We also got a private tour of the Wrigley museum that held at least 15 Bohlin saddles, matching bridles and breast collars belonging to … Read more
