Apollo is evolving himself nicely along with my sporadic training, which I take full responsibility of not giving him the time that he needs. I can surely understand how many people want to spoil their horses because I certainly spoil my dog. But the one thing I have learned with my experience with my dog is that there are two ways I have let him down. One is not believing that evolution would help in his development, so I feel in many cases I was too strong with him. The other aspect is allowing him to hurt my feelings from not being the dog that I thought he should be if he cared about me; like when I first had him, he ran away a lot, and wouldn’t come when he was called. Now in retrospect, all of it has worked out nicely, but I think I brought too much drama in the growing up of Apollo.
In my last report to you about my dog, I reported that I had taught him to pick up two things and carry them. Since Apollo is not a retrieving dog, this was a great feat! And as you remember I did that … Read more

One of the things about the Waterhole Rituals is that you can’t just throw the Rituals at the horse. They are not designed to be used that way. That is what is so wonderful about working with me in the Insider Circle course, and why it is so important to take advantage of this program that I offer. What I do is walk you through the Waterhole Rituals and show you how to understand, and apply the Rituals to fit your ability and your horse’s disposition.
The Spring Insider Circle and Extended circle program is going on now. We have just started. We are focused on the First Ritual, Sharing Territory- and allowing nature to take its course by no interaction and allowing source energy to give a helping hand. It is very important that people get a chance to experience a horse starting the bond so one can grasp how natural is it for horses to be in your life.
Right now in the class, I have asked the students to be in nature with their horses in meditation. A meditation to clean out the mind. The kind of clearing out you get from going on vacation. I put … Read more

The way I see it, women approach leadership and horses a lot differently than men do. As children in our imaginary games riding Pegasus, Pegasus reads our minds and takes us to enchanted places. Girls are attracted to Pegasus from their desire to experience a magical connection through a magical ride; while boys grab their broomstick, and ride to a destination that they tell their imaginary horse to go.
My method address horses more like a woman of course because I am wanting a relationship with a horse more than any service I might get from the horse. The service I do receive from the horse is a way to enjoy our connection from a co creative process. It turned out that in competition, my method could hold up to any other method that was not interested in developing a friendship from the training process.
I have seen methods that are driven by a dominant approach through a masculine energy develop friendship with a horse, but the horse had to give up the ability to say “no,” or the power to change the subject, or have any say in the matter of his training at all. The masculine intent was … Read more

Something I’d like to explain is that there is a cellular connection that we can experience with our horse. If you have studied science, you may be familiar with the theory that the molecular structure of something becomes very similar to the structure that it is next to, and grows more connected the longer it is there. If I leave a spoon on a table, that spoon will connect with the table over a long period of time. The longer the spoon sits, the more the spoon will attach to the table, and the more they will become alike.
A Natural Understanding
Deepak Chopra speaks of what he calls “entrainment,” and that there is an energy field that is in us. For instance, if we checked my energy field, and checked your energy field, they would be a lot different. But, if we stayed in the same territory together, and we let time pass, our energy would begin to align. When this happens, we have a better understanding of each other naturally right away. All of a sudden, I would understand you, and you would understand me. It’s a wonderful thing!

I guess the first thing that would come to mind for most people when bomb proofing goes wrong is that it did not take. The horse is still shying at things on the trail as always. Although this can happen, it is not what I am talking about. What I am taking about is that the horse has become so desensitized that you cannot get the horse to respond to your driving aids easily. This condition is caused from too much desensitizing. And this can be caused from the ideology that a horse should have no fear of us at all. This is what I want to address in today’s blog. When all of a horse’s fears are taken out of him, a couple of very valuable qualities can be lost, and safety issues can crop up. The first issue that comes up is that the horse stops paying attention to his handler. When all fear is removed from a horse, he looses respect, interest, and the desire to interact with his handler. When this happens, having a horse that is so much larger that we are like this is not a good idea.

Working with Relaxation and Energetic Energy
Horses read and communicate with one another through body language and the vibrations they share with one another. Since horses are prey animals, they learn to read the intentions and attitudes from each other in silent ways in order to avoid being discovered by predators. When observing the body language of horses, variables between subtle and extreme body language can be seen as they communicate with each other. Horses also understand our body language and respond well to it when we make a point to communicate with them by using body language and posturing our intent. When a common language is not shared, body language is the universal way to communicate. Communicating our intentions with the right vibrations through our posturing is all part of body language.
