Tales from the mountains – part 1
Jul 4th, 2008 by Carolyn Resnick Method
Hello and a happy 4th of July to you!
I am delighted to announce the first in what we hope will be a series of stories from Margaret who featured on the post Being in nature. We have been exchanging messages with each other and I asked her if she wouldn’t mind sharing some of her journey with us as she gets to know her mare, Amber, in the 230 acres they and 30 other horses share up there in the mountains in northern California. Margaret seems to experience the same joy as I do from the simple pleasures to be found in nature and her stories bring a smile to my heart, I hope they do to yours too.
Have a super weekend and I look forward to talking with you again next week.

Margaret I just got off the phone with your MOm and she shared this with me I love it and will, of course pass this on to my horsey friends. Only those who trust in their feeling of animals can understand that they truly are with us. Love you….. Linda Levins
Hi,
I love the comments I’ve been getting for Aumtumn’s little story. I also think it would be awesome to have you come up here to work with us. I’d love to do it now, but I think I will have to wait until next summer when I’ve saved enough for the clinic.
I was wondering, what is the normal out come of a 3 day clinic? What are the basics that normally come out of it? What happens if Autumn is having a few “mare days” and just isn’t super into it?
I should have part 2 by the end of the week. We just went to the beach today and now I’m worn out! She’s a good girl but an excited baby belgian on the end of the lead for a few hours poops you out!
I hope all is well,
Margaret
Thank you for sharing your incredible story. It is certainly easy to see why you love her so much. You really have a talent for getting your feelings into your writing. I think most horse people that hit this site are looking for the kind of connection you are making with Autumn. I look forward to reading more about your adventures.
hey this is great, we are wainting for more news on autum’s progress….come on

Hey Margaret
It was great to read your story about Autumn. What a beautiful part of the country Northern California is. You and Casey are missed at our Long Island secret surf spot.

Heart Warming and Real.
What a great story. Margaret not only shows true love for her horse but also shows true love for humanity.
Her expression of the adventure was so heartfelt, not to mention poetic. The way she tells the story actually creates a vivid vision as if you were right there sharing the experience. I am looking forward to reading ” More Tales from the Mountains” which will then again take me to the wonderful world of natures finest.
