A New Online Horse Coaching Program for All Disciplines of Horse Training

My mother. The light of my life.
I am offering a new course, called “Paulina’s Program”, in order to honor my mother and help care for my mother’s final stages of Dementia. Many of you have met my mother at a clinic or private lesson and know how sweet and precious she is. Others have just heard, or read, the heart warming stories of our past in my book “Naked Liberty”.
Unfortunately, her insurance does not pay for my mother’s home health care or an Assisted Living Facility. Hospice can only do so much and it is imperative that I keep doing my work with horses.
I need a certified nurse to help care for my mother 24/7 and it has become very expensive quickly. I designed Paulina’s Program to honor my mother and support my mother’s home health care or an Assisted Living Facility to help her transition from this phase of her life to the next.

On your journey developing a bond and connection to your horse through training and performance, I am here to guide you. This new program is a way for me to personally support you and your horse, regardless of what level of experience you have.
This is a great way to reach me for my personal support for you and your horse on a regular basis. I will offer this coaching call every three weeks. It is designed to help you with anything that you are interested in that relates to the training of horses from a compassionate point of view. This type of training will deepen the bond between you and your horse.
Paulina’s Program is also about self realization, personal empowerment and spiritual growth through the training of horses. Anything that you are working on no matter what discipline, direction or formula. I can smooth out the bumps and give you a clear path to follow.
Do you have allot of questions you would like answered? I will try to answer these for you. Maybe you want to connect and share with others, just like yourself, about your amazing and joyful experiences in training your own horse. We want to hear all about it!

Maybe you are lost in knowing how to bring about a true partnership that you have been longing for. Maybe you are concerned about the training of your horse interfering with the friendship. I will show you how training will deepen the bond. Maybe you have performance problems and concerns in competition. I can help you with this as well. I want to help you find the unity that you are looking for and the consistent connection that you need for competition and for your own peace of mind.
You will have a fun and supportive social chat room in order to talk to one another after the call. Maybe in the chat room you can find more support and information from fellow horse lovers or someone you can offer support to yourself. You might just enjoy the conversations of others without taking an active role.
Trial and Error is a good thing
I want to show you how to apply trial and error to develop your feel and understanding in choosing the right path in your training. This is how all living things learn, right down to the smallest cells in our bodies. I want you to connect with your own natural resourcefulness. The “hand book” of training may be very informative but trial and error is what will bring you the results that you are looking for. Getting comfortable with trial and error is exciting and extremely self satisfying. I am here to help you on your journey. Just remember that you and your horse have no fault insurance.
Don’t look at mistakes as wrong, learn how they can grow the bond. Sometimes I will make an error on purpose to get to know my horse better. You will learn how trial and error is an amazing tool. I will teach you how to use trial and error to train your horse in order to get the results you are looking for.
I love sharing in your adventures and struggles to find the best part of yourself, to find the best part of your horse no matter what discipline or relationship you are looking for. Through the unity you create, as well as the struggle, it will lead you to understanding your horse’s true nature. I will show you how this happens and why.
The True Spirit of the Horse

Training horses is up lifting to our spirit. This is what happens to people when you allow a horse to evolve you. I believe this is true for most horsemen, even for the people that seem to give no regards to the horse’s emotions. Horses give us important life lessons and we may be discussing them in this program as well.
In the process of training you may discover the true spirit of the horse wanting you to harness his energy. Your horse may offer the dance you are longing to share with him when you learn how to be spontaneously interactive in the training of your horse. You might find you need to be more assertive or less assertive. If you have a method you are already using I can help you in the application of it.
From experimentation, in time, you will develop a craft and an approach in how to form a magical dance with your horse. I like to refer to it as one woman or one man horsemanship and it should be that way because every horse is different and the dynamics between a horse and a human plays a part in the outcome. This is how to truly engage with a horse and to engage with life.
I think that you are going to love having the ability to connect with me every three weeks or when you would enjoy sharing a connection with me around horses. Horses offer the answers to the puzzlement in how to connect with all living hearts. What we learn from them can’t help but make our own life more fulfilling.
My Mother

My mother walks this earth as an Angel. All my life everyone would remark on how soft and gracious she is, just from being in her presence for only a few moments. She is my beacon in how to be and how to connect with all things from just being at peace with life and herself. She loves life and has never brought complication to anything. She is resourceful and can fix anything. From the years of being at peace with herself and accepting others in the same manner, fixing things was second nature to her and it can be second nature to you too.
My mother sat a horse like no other could. It was magical to see her on a horse. When she sat, information would pour into onlookers what the living spirit is all about from the liveliness she brought out in the horse and the liveliness that the horse brought out in her. She rode with an ability that opened your heart and watching her ride brought inspiration as to how much joy is possible just sitting on the back of a horse. All she really did was melt into a horse and smile and the horse would carry her with pride. It was truly magical!
She has helped me all my life and I will write about that sometime if you are interested. I will also share some pictures of our life together. Now it is time for me to help her in her transitional period from this world to the next. She needs 24 hour nursing care that I am providing to her between a skilled nurse, Hospice, friends and myself.

There are three levels of support in honor of “Paulina’s Program”:
Video Group Coaching + *bonus* 15 min private coaching + chat room
Open to 10 people
- During your Video Group Coaching Call you will have 15 minutes dedicated just to you. You can send in videos up to 6 minutes long and ask questions on any discipline you would like assistance with.
- You will ALSO receive a private coaching call (just you and me) that will take place on a specific day one week after the group call for 15 minutes each. This will be scheduled by my office staff.
- You will be able to view all the videos sent in by the “Marchador Level” students to watch for one month along with listening to the recordings.
- You will receive mp3 audio recordings of BOTH group calls (Marchador and Honey Levels) so that you can listen at your leisure.
- You will have access to “Paulina’s Program” chat room to share your ideas and receive support from others.
- As a Marchador Supporter you will receive a 15% discount on the Waterhole Rituals Online clinic (Insider or Extended Seats) in 2013.
2. The “Honey Level” – $75/month
Conversational Group Coaching + chat room
Open to 20 people
- During your Conversational Group Coaching Call you will have 10 minutes dedicated just to you. You can ask questions directly to me on any discipline you would like assistance with.
- You will be able to view all the videos sent in by the “Marchador Level” students to watch for one month.
- You will receive mp3 audio recordings of BOTH group calls (Marchador and Honey Levels) so that you can listen at your leisure.
- You will have access to “Paulina’s Program” chat room for the month to share ideas and support with others.
3. The “Ladd Level” – $50/month
Both Coaching Call Recordings – Over 4 hours of Coaching!
- This level is open to all and is a good way to get to know my work better.
- You will have access to viewing the videos sent in by the “Marchador Level”.
- You will receive mp3 audio recordings of BOTH group calls (Marchador and Honey Levels) so that you can listen at your leisure.
This ongoing program that will be offered every month. The first Video Coaching Call is scheduled for Sunday January 27th, at 5pm PST. The first Conversation Coaching Call is Monday, January 28th, 5pm PST.
My mother loved posing for the camera in any given situation even when we were hard at work. There was always levity.
The new program should be exciting with the direction of the class being governed by the interest of the group. By signing up for this new program, you will help support our journey and help keep my mother comfortable and cared for and give me the ability to continue my work spreading the good news about more compassion for horse. Had our first Honey Level group call last night! It was fantastic! Time flew by Carolyn as I listened to you helping your students solve their problems. It was fascinating to hear your advice. Even when what my classmates were experiencing, was not something that I am directly experiencing with my horses, it was such a learning experience to hear what you had to say, and I could see how it would apply to my horses or to me, in one way or another. Just from this one call, I have tucked away many tidbits and big chunks of knowledge, that will come in very handy someday, maybe even next time I see Cowboy. Speaking of him, next time I see him, he is in for a surprise! He’s in 1st grade now and none of this namby-pamby kindergarden stuff anymore.
When I told you about what he was doing, and then you told me what he was “really” doing and what I was letting him get away with, a big gong went off in my head! When you said he was taking control by walking off, ignoring me, setting his own speed at a walk and coaxing me into one more belly scratch, it became so clear to me. I didn’t recognize the very subtle and innocent seeming ways he was taking back control from me. I cannot wait to show him there are consequences! He will be very suprised! And I think he will be very intrigued by his rejuvnated mom. I am also looking forward to our next trail ride where we will be walking the speed I want to walk, not whatever speed Cowboy decides he wants to go! I can picture perfectly in my head what I need to do, and I can imagine how Cowboy will react, and what I will need to do depending on what he does. You have such a gift for making things like that clear and easy. Carolyn, I cannot thank you enough for your help. I will report back on my next date with Cowboy! I’d go today, but for the first time in Forever, it is raining, thundering and lightning. Although later, I may go and ST and tell him about our new attitude and his promotion to first grade. Love MG

You have my heartfelt empathy for your situation having helped my Grandmother through Dementia.
As I read Naked Liberty I was profoundly struck by the freedom your Mother gave you. All the gifts she gave to you in turn benefit your students …..and their horses too …..so we are all indebted to her. These gifts will resonate through the generations .

Dear Carolyn,
I am so very sorry to hear about your mother’s illness.
You may remember that my mom passed last June. I do not know if I had told you that she had had Alzheimer’s dementia for 20 years. She was diagnosed when she was 65. She was sweet, intelligent, clever, funny, playful, loving, supportive, artistic, athletic, and just plain wonderful. I have always said…and told her often….that she was the most wonderful mom in the world.
Her illness was devastating to me, as my mother and I were best friends for all of her and my lives. I think I cried for the first 5 years. Then my dad and I dealt with serious behavioral changes caused by the dementia, but once we got mom on the proper medication, she returned to her wonderful self, which allowed us to take good care of her over the remainder of the many years of her disease.
I found out that God helps us to find a place of peace within ourselves to accept this journey and even find joy again with the one we love so much. My goal over the years was to see my mother smile every day, as much as possible each day. She smiled a lot over the years. And although, after the first few years, she lost the ability to assign names to me and my dad, such as daughter and husband, I never lost the feeling that her soul always knew my soul when she heard my voice. During her last waking moments with me, she laughed a lot, and she made direct eye-contact into my eyes twice. As you are likely aware, direct eye-contact is unusual with dementia patients.
In June, she passed in her sleep, peacefully, quietly. I believe she had decided that 20 years was enough, that she had accomplished her soul’s journey, that she had taught as many lessons as she could teach through her illness. And that it was time to be with my dad again (he passed last January). As you can imagine, my mom’s passing was very bittersweet.
I thank God that I had the stellar parents with whom I was blessed, and that we had so much joy and fun throughout our lives together.
I wish for you and your mom great inner strength and the ability to find joy each day, in any way in comes. You are such a spiritually strong woman, Carolyn, that I have no doubt that you will give your mother joy and strength each day, and from your description of Pauline, I have no doubt that she will return that to you.
I wish great peace and God’s continued blessings for both of you.
What I have learned, and continue to learn, from your program, Carolyn, about me, about life, about the journeys we are all on, helped me greatly to continue and complete the journey with my beautiful mother. Although my funds are tight, I want to help you too. I am contributing at the Ladd level, and hopefully will be able to continue that.
