Being in nature
Jun 13th, 2008 by Carolyn Resnick Method
Hello again. Today’s post is a long one and comes from a message I received via my blog. It was a lovely letter, full of heart and I felt moved to write a response. So with your approval, here is the letter and my reply in full.
Have a lovely weekend!

Hi
I just read your book and loved it. I’ve been ploughing through various horse training methods and ideas with some positive outcomes but not without feeling like a perfectionist, pushing up the pressure in getting the job done. I was left with a feeling of anxiety every time I went to work with a horse.

Hi Margaret,
I have received advices and training by email, i can recommend this way if taking courses with carolyn, maybe that could work for you until you have saved up for the bigger trip
Good luck, Br Stina
Hi,
I am so thankful and honored for Carolyn’s reply to my letter. I was so excited that I sent it to all my friends, family and read it to my horse Autumn. Carolyn, you are absoulutly right, what is the big hurry? It really struck a cord when you said why does Autumn always have to follow me? Maybe it’s as exciting to her to have her human follow her and get to know her life, and her friends. So this summer I’m going to keep my journal, camera, carrots and lunch in a backpack and enjoy my horse and the nature we’re surrounded in.
I’m lucky enough to spend about 40 minutes with her before work and an hour or more after work, and weekends are open (minus husband time
You lifted a cloud of anxiety from me and left me with a reassurance that there’s no hurry and I can just enjoy my horse. Thank you so much. I’ll keep you posted on Autumn and mine’s journey. Maybe someday we can go thourgh your trianing program, I’m already saving!
Thanks again,
Margaret and Autumn
Dear Margaret,
Thanks for your advices Carolyn. Margaret you are very lucky to give your horse such a wonderful life!
Take the advice if you can – go with the herd, study the herd, learn from the herd – it is really a good one
I am just about to publish a video clip of my horse herd now 18 months after they were rescued. The small clip is from the horses in their big area of an old fruitgarden.
