If this is your first time reading my blog about training horses at liberty, I want to give you a very warm welcome. I want to fill you in on what today’s blog post is about. This blog post is a continuation that started two weeks ago. If you start at the beginning, you will know what I am referring to in today’s entry.
It is that time of year again and I am delighted to offer our special Valentine’s Day Coaching Call, Tuesday February 14th, 2012 where the topics will be:
“How to Make a True Heart Connection with Your Horse: Which comes first Respect or Love?
Discussion: What 10 things are on your Horse’s Bucket List?”
The format for our call will be a short introductory piece and some coaching from me followed by an open question and answer session. Please bring your HORSE’S BUCKET LIST as we’ll be sharing our lists with each other on the call. Here we are starting out on a new year. I am so looking forward to our next online course. If you have any questions regarding the course, let me know, so I can answer them for you and get you started on a great journey. I design the Waterhole Rituals Online course around you and your particular horse as you learn how to use my method. It is a journey that will take you to a deep cross-species bond from training your horse through The Waterhole Rituals. The Waterhole Rituals is a journey that will benefit all, horses and humans. You will be addressing your horse in the same manner you would, if you were to meet your horse on a desert island and a relationship took place there, that lasted you a life time. To learn more about the Spring 2012 program view this page: Waterhole Rituals Online Course – Insider Circle and Extended Circle Seats are available.
In other exciting news, we have added a new Beyond the Waterhole Ritual Clinic for Spring 2012. For more information please view the Beyond The Waterhole Rituals Clinic page. Remember this is… Read more

New Year Wishes
My wish for the new year is for an apprentice or two who have a solid background in training horses that would stay for a long time to learn all aspects my method (Waterhole Rituals, Uberstreichen Exercises, Single Lining, dressage training and bridle-less riding) who could represent my method as I would like it to be. In exchange, I would like you to help me with educational material, office work, emails and bookings or your own unique skills (video, marketing, ???…). Thank you for all the greetings you left me on my blog. There is been no one in the office during the holidays but me. I was not able to respond to your comments because something in the system that was blocking my response. However I do want you to know, I read them all and I’m back to being able to write.

Welcome To My Blog -To Get You Started!
The purpose of my blog is to make a connection with you. I can connect with people all over the world, thanks to the computer, and we can explore and correspond with one another on the experiences we’re having with our horses in our life!
I also use the blog as a way, to educate, to raise consciousness, and to use philosophical viewpoints that will lead to a better relationship with horses; for training, partnering, and performance.
The blog is also here to help support interested people and my students who are learning my method through the educational material I offer and direct coaching. Feel free to ask questions on horse behavior, pecking order, leadership, self-realization, meditation, and the training and performance of horses. I may answer your question, or I may choose it for a blog topic for a later date. Of course, I can’t answer everyone’s questions, but I will read all your comments and I will respond to several questions on each blog.
I look forward to dialoging on the subject of what creates a better connection with a horse. Enjoy!
I will give you a lesson from… Read more

Animal Planet…
This morning I woke up early and I watched a TV show on orangutans. It was all about the things I had observed about the pecking order of horses. I got very excited! They spoke about all of it, all the things that I had discovered in natural horse bands in the wild. On this show, they spoke of the misguided strength of the youth, attitude, responsibility and there being a “self appointed cop” to the community that did not get into pecking order games.… Read more

Something I’d like to explain is that there is a cellular connection that we can experience with our horse. If you have studied science, you may be familiar with the theory that the molecular structure of something becomes very similar to the structure that it is next to, and grows more connected the longer it is there. If I leave a spoon on a table, that spoon will connect with the table over a long period of time. The longer the spoon sits, the more the spoon will attach to the table, and the more they will become alike.
A Natural Understanding
Deepak Chopra speaks of what he calls “entrainment,” and that there is an energy field that is in us. For instance, if we checked my energy field, and checked your energy field, they would be a lot different. But, if we stayed in the same territory together, and we let time pass, our energy would begin to align. When this happens, we have a better understanding of each other naturally right away. All of a sudden, I would understand you, and you would understand me. It’s a wonderful thing!

I am really excited! I am taking a new horse “Chip” in training for my project horse for the Insider Circle and Extended Circle Program that will be starting this spring on April16th, 2011. The official announcement will be soon, and that is when you will be able to register for those of you who are interested. The Insider Circle will be open to 40 students in two separate classes, and the Extended Circle program will be open to everyone. You will get to read all about the course details soon.
Back to Chip!
Chip is a yearling wild horse that was taken from the Theodore Roosevelt National Park’s band of wild horses in the North Dakota Badlands. He was three months old when he was taken from his mother. He had pneumonia and had to be nursed back to health. In the process of his recovery, he developed orphan foal syndrome. He lost his social skills and instincts he was born with from too much human handling to get him well. It will be my job to raise him back to what his natural behavior would have been.
