This is a very wonderful Christmas. I have made so many friends through my work and the blog. So many people to say thank you to. Thank you Stina for your constant development with your horses using my Method. I hope all travelers get to visit your horse programs in the jungle with your wild herd. Thank you Shelly Martin for continuing my Method with Panadero. Shelley is now riding bridless without a neck rope, I could not be prouder. Thank you to Lisa Zarcades for all you have done to bring awareness to a better way to connect with horses through Panadero and your work with Shelly and myself.
I am over the loss of my 35 year old horse, Stony. It has been more than a year since he was put down from colic. Lad, Cat and Marchador are all fine and are looking to teach more people my Method.

Hi again, hope you had a good weekend. As many of you know, earlier this year I took part in a documentary by film maker Stormy May, which has recently been released on DVD under the title of “The Path of the Horse”. It’s a remarkable and fascinating look at how we view horses and how they are being treated in 21st Century society.
Natural Horse Magazine said “We can be better horse people and “The Path of the Horse” challenges us to transcend. Thanks to Stormy May and her very impressive work, we have a place to start. This is a must-see, must-share video. Here’s hoping its impact on the horse world will spread far and wide fast.”

As every one knows, I had an unusual life growing up in the desert with horses. Our horses were able to run free most of the day in a herd and go where they wished. They were loose and there were no fences to keep them in from doing exactly what they wanted to do. The freedom, connection and performance I shared with them caused me never to really accept the conditions horses are faced with today. Horses are not free anymore and we keep them in captivity. This is one of the reasons I invented the Waterhole Rituals. We have taken their land, called it our home and horses haven’t any claim to the motherland that frees their spirit, leaves them to raise their families and keeps them together as they wish.

Hi. Today I have a very special video for you that was made by my friend, Stormy May. Stormy is (of course) a horse lover and has been making DVDs on horses for a number of years and has in fact made my last 2 DVDs, Panadero’s Journey and Introduction to the Waterhole Rituals.
The video you will see is a trailer for a documentary she is making called The Path of the Horse, which is about the future of horse-human relationships. The film focuses on 5 people Stormy has interviewed who she believes have a very special and natural relationship with their horses: Alexander Nevzorov, Klaus Hempfling, Linda Kohanov, Mark Rashid and, I’m proud to say, me.
