In today’s classroom there are some things I want to share and a book I would like to recommend that you can read at this time with your horse, if the weather will permit. I will give you the 5th Ueberstreichen Exercise next Tuesday because it is time for us to pause, reflect and witness our forward progress.
Many people are still working on the first two Uberstreichen Exercises so there is no really need to progress to the 5th one at this time. I will extend the classroom to next Tuesday, which is usually a time for sharing my thoughts.
The blog is becoming a classroom where we are all learning form each other from sharing our experiences, while becoming aware of our surroundings in nature like a horse would do. ‘New magic’ is on the horizon, it is happening all around us from our awareness of our horses in the moment. It was what I was hoping to build.

Uberstreichen Exercises – Rollkur no more
My Uberstreichen Exercises are ground schooling to introduce the horse to the bridle for all disciplines to support both beginning and advanced training under saddle and are step two of the Carolyn Resnick Method to support all equestrian pursuits.
As part of my continuing effort to support my blog readers, I will be offering free beginning instruction on the Uberstreichen Exercises each week over the Winter.

It looks like we might not be running the ‘In a Box’ Program this winter after all as the weather looks like it will be too cold for most people, so I may end up postponing the course till sometime late spring. If this happens, those who have prepaid will have their tuition fees returned.
This is Julia Felton’s last week with me as a working student. For people who live in the UK and would like to learn my Method from her, you can contact her at Julia@connect-thru-horses.com. So now I am looking for another person that would like the opportunity to be a working student with me. I have a great horse for you to learn how to train bridleless and to develop your dressage skills under saddle with my Method plus all my ground training at liberty. Here we are into another day and I have just finished working with my horses once again. I have been working with that fearful horse I was telling you about a few weeks ago (Try a little tenderness…) when I was taking him from his stall to the barn and feeding him food and getting him used to that.
Well, he is doing really, really well. Now I can take him out of his paddock to the barn and I don’t have to bring him back to his buddy anymore. He is happy to be with me and is learning a lot of new things. One of the things that I have taught him is how to travel with his head really low.
