Telepathy with your horse

Hello again. Today I wanted to add to the story about Panadero and his Spanish Walk that I told you about here last week. If you recall, I went to work with him not having done so for three months.
The last time I had worked with him his Spanish Walk had been very green and he could maybe only do about 25 feet. When I asked him for it three months later, he had it on him like he was a seasoned horse.
So what I wanted to add was that one of the other reasons he did the Spanish Walk so beautifully was it was something that I could feel in him that day because of the relationship we had developed before. I had asked him to do something else but he did not do it immediately. He was telling me that what he wanted to do something else instead and telepathically I guessed he wanted to do the Spanish walk.

The connection you felt and how it touched you is a marvelous example of how sharing a thought together can bring a deeper connection with horses.
I’ve had a similar experience with my horse at times, but it is often not well developed enough for me to get more than an emotional response. The first time that this happened, we were walking up a hill and turned a corner in the trail to see a small dark shape in the shadow of a tree. My horse stopped dead in her tracks. At that instant I could see the face of a small bear or badger in that shadowy shape along with feeling all the fear in her heart. However after about 10 seconds, as we both relaxed, the face faded and I could see it was only a funny shaped log. This experience convinced me that there was far more to my relationship with my horse than could be easily explained through the usual horse and human interactions.
On the DVD “The Path of the Horse” Linda Kohanov says something about this ‘moving as one’ in a herd. Her horses saw something frightful in the distance and at the same time they saw this and fled Linda felt a kind of shockwave of energy coming towards her. She felt what her horses felt.
What a wonderful, teaching story, & how exciting can it be for both you and Pandero to be so intuitively tuned in with each other!
