I would also like to thank all of you for reading my blog and supporting me as you have.
I do not have a lot to say this time. I am busy getting ready for the December Clinic and my mother hurt her wrist and needs my help getting around right now. We thought it was broken, but it is likely a sprain and she is healing very fast. By the time the clinic gets here, she will be fine. If you have anything you want to share with me this holiday season, I would love to answer any questions on horses or would be happy to hear any stories you would like to share.
I do have a message though for today
We have several people who are sending in videos to get qualified for the Bitless Dressage Course that have not yet taken a course on the Waterhole Rituals with me. This is a prerequisite that I forgot to mention. I apologize for not stating this earlier. I am not just teaching how to ride bitless as a way to avoid a bit, but my course is about developing a horse that will travel in collection in self-carriage, which requires a lot of practice and detailed steps, as well as a lot of patience and understanding. We need to have worked together previously so that I can know you and your horse in order to be able to guide you easily and successfully. If you have worked with a Certified Trainer in my method, you may also apply.
The reason we do not see people riding bitless dressage is because it takes more dedication than training a horse in dressage with a bit. As we know, dressage training takes a lot of dedication and bitless riding for dressage requires even more.
I would like to pave the way to get more people interested in bitless dressage. The reason for this is that bits are usually used improperly no matter how positive and sensitive a rider is. A bit gets in the way of true lightness and freedom.
It will be easier to gain an understanding in how to train a horse for bitless dressage if you have had a background of working with me and have trained your horse with the Waterhole Rituals; you will know better how to analyze where your horse is in the moment and be able to put him in the right frame of mind to accept training for bitless riding.
If you have any questions about the program, please write me here on the blog and I will answer you as soon as possible.
Have a great weekend, watch out for new horse sightings and may the horse be with you.
